Im third owner and it has 77k on it currently. Previous owner used it mostly for his long commute during the week(up and down the pa turnpike) which is where the bulk of the miles came from. Trucks never been in an accident and hasn't been abused. Has been ran with mobil 1 from the beginning and gets new oil and filter every 3k or 4 months faithfully but i've yet to reach 3k in a year and i've owned the truck since 01. The engine, trans and converter are all stock and never been opened up or fiddled with to the point that the valve covers have never even been off the thing. Tranny's been flushed and changed since i've owned it and it shifts real firm like it should.
Now it's in no way a collectors piece but it isn't a hacked pos.. it has all original metal and cladding as well as paint. I lost storage space for it years ago so it's been out side since taking a beating from the sun so the paint is the weak point of this truck. Plus we all know how well gm's factory paint was with these trucks.
The bad:
[size=-3]1. Head liner started to sag a little in the middle
2. Factory paint shines like new if detailed but is flaking allot, especially on the roof... I may even just primer it for now so no chance of surface rust in the future.
3. Small rust bubble under paint just above the driver side wheel arch and some on the inside bottom of the tailgate (really not bad at all but if your painting her i'd replace both fenders)
4. Heater core, stopped working like two years ago and just by passed it since I never used it anyways ( 40 minute job and a $39 part that I will be replacing myself if I keep it)
5. Window motors are very slow and will need to be replaced and the door lock actuators are pretty much dead too.. I guess twenty years was there life span.
6. The tires although practically brand new are cracking around the edges due to just sitting.. I'd still drive on them myself without a second thought for a while but want this to be known up front to any buyers.
8. No radio, all speakers are sony and are there. I just moved the head unit into my daily driver rather then sit in the truck and never get used. Planned to buy a delete kit [/size]
