Switching setting on the ultimate

Today was the first time I switched it (for emissions).
I got it to switch, the key went in, but it is like I can do an entire circle with thekey, and nothing happens. It took me about 5 minutes to switch it to valet, and about 10 minutes to get it back to T116. Is it broken, or am I missing a step?

Sounds like you have a broken lock switch:

With the "notch" in the center of the lock at 12 o'clock, it should lock the settings. Turn it to the 3 o'clock position to change them. You shouldn't be able to turn it all the way around...

hmm This sucks. I wonder if I could fix the key switch?

I guess I should just pick a good setting and leave it there!
