Anti-Dive Front suspension

Did some measuring on my truck yesterday, plotted some info and found 1 thing interesting for everybody. Our suspension has a LOT of anti-dive built in. This is one reason when we stand on the brakes you can feel like the ass end of car is going to pass you.

Won't get into to good or bad just posting info, best to study this stuff yourself if your interested.

Its possible I measured something wrong as I was a bit tired.

Thanks to Mike Callahan for his help also.

interesting.. is it technically the same amount on a regular s-series truck?

Is that really a bad thing? Seems to me that if the front were allowed to dive more, it would transfer even more weight forward and unload the rear even worse. Maybe slightly less rake and some double adjustable rears with tighter rebound resistance might improve the situation?

anti-dive is good. how much is good is the question. In desert racing you want as little as possible, anti-squat is good too.But on lowered street trucks :dunno:

From personal experience, the 'ass is passing you' feeling comes from having your rear up too high and not enough weight properly balanced, with the AWD systems in place our cars are INCREDIBLY nose-heavy
