Matt, what's your intention with this shop? I wasnt sure if you posted what your plans were. Is this just a piece of property your dad owns that he is fixing up?

Just curious.....Also looks great. Keep up the great work!!!!

My parents do student housing. This was a deal that they couldn't pass up as this one property will provide:

office space
student housing
hobby shop <- obviously the best part of the deal.

They were able to move their office into the finished space of the warehouse(thats the drywalled section you see in the last pic). This warehouse is attached to an old fire hall which my dad will start converting into student housing once the shop area is done.

The old firehall is a cool building with a lot of character:

Shouldn't it be "I would rather spend $ on a jack that isn't all or nothing?"

that wasn't my or matt's jack. that was Adam's jack....and adam was the one sabotaging, i mean jacking up my truck.

I stand corrected (away from any truck jacked up with Adam's jack, well... even from renzs trucks in case they were the culprit)

Ooooooops wrong thread. May as well be on topic now anyway. I would be down for a meet at the warehouse again. It was a blast last time. Well except for the above mentioned assault by Adam and his jack.

There will be no more jacks of mine going anywhere near renz's truck ever again. Thats why matt was the FIRST phone call I made when this came up for sale.

Ya, I had a blast smokin out that warehouse. But it is sad that my truck can no longer be called a diesel. But I am not all that broken up about it, it finally runs pretty good.

Made a removable safety chain for the steps leading into the pit:

The projector is now mounted in place and we got most of the wiring run:

Very nice, that pit entrance could come in handy for quick oil and fluid changes. You can have someone drive over the pit hole and change the oil/fluids from underneath...if the lift is in use.

Keep up the nice work.

Yep, thats the plan. The entire wooden section in front of the entrance is removable for just that reason. Pits are nice if you want to start the vehicle and get under it.. Kinda hard to do that on a lift. I also like pits for finding suspension squeaks and rattles. You can have someone shake the hell out of the vehicle while another person is under there looking for the noise..

The projector is all wired up and ready to go.. I just need to find a remote for it so that I can turn it on and off..

We made a home for our old TV:

Also set up a cabinet for the stereo:

There is a plug in the wall behind the stereo but its not active yet.. The extension cord is just temporary. When we got the stereo all wired up and turn it on it sounded like absolute crap. Pulled the covers off of the speakers and realized that the foam around the speakers is all deteriorated. Did a little Google search and I have new foam on the way...
