Nice looking pics......What kind of coating is on that upper? Looks kinda like Rhino Liner from here.

jet hot 2000.

you can't tell it from the pics but the upper plenum was cut in half. then the individual runner material was removed. basically it is hollow on the inside. then the egr port was welded up and then both halves welded back together. and gasket matched to the lower that was done by mike lee. as i see it the rear ports or runners as you might call it have material they have to go around to make it to the lower intake runners.the throttle body being on one side and the rear ports on the other i see it easier for the air to flow more evenly this way. kinda the same principle as the 90 degree elbow that you would use on the edelbrock carb intake. there's no individual partitians in there.

but that's just my 2 cents.

nice setup, any pics of the internal work on the intakes?

hell no. that's the only thing that my dumbass did not take pics of. the cool part is that i have to pull the upper anyway for the nitrous plate i'm having made out of phenolic material.  so i plan to get pics then.

Truckless. For now.
Re: Rebuild Pics Of Sy 0983

Who's coil over kit are you using on the front end? That's something on my wish list for next year.

Looking good! I'm thinking I'll have to add some valve covers to the wish list as well.

oh yeah. waiting to have the gears setup correctly. put the powertrax unit in it and just want to make sure the backlash/gear mesh is correct. trans and t case go in as soon as the tubluar crossmember gets here.

that is a al dustan coilover setup. w/ john waller custom ball joint pins. i don't think these are available anymore. i ran across this kit 1 1/2 yrs ago from 20psigmc. you will get mixed emotions about this kit. some say it is a piece of shit b/c it uses heim joins instead of bushings. people say that heims don't belong on the street. but of you look at the suspension of the top dawg baha racers their entire suspension is made up of heim joints no bushing found on them and if they can race across the desert and jump mounds 15 ft high then i can drive them on the street and the track. :2cents:

Your doing a really good job. I give you guys who do a total rebuild credit, I tryed to do a total rebuild on a 51 chevy pickup and I ended up pulling my hair out at the cost and work it took. I ended up selling it about 20% of the way done. (It was a daily driver, so it wasnt like a total rebuild per say.)

Who's headers are you running?
