Got followed home by a Ty yesterday

On a trailer. Well it's been about 3 years without a Sy/Ty. Got a 93 White on White. It's been sitting for the past 5 years so it does need quite a bit of work but am actually looking forward to getting back into the Sy/Ty world. I know that may sound dumb but I've kinda missed it, cussing and all. I'll try and get some pics up as soon as I get the front bumper back on and cleaned up, right now it looks like a white on grey. Can't remember the # right now.

+1 on that. What kind of work does it need? Cosmetic, or is the motor the source of troubles?

It's got 97k on it. I'm not 100% sure about the motor but it does run and doesn't smoke. Couldn't really test drive it due to the tires and the dash is all apart. The tranny is brand new, less than 500 miles. It does need some cladding repair/replacing but not much. No dents or rust and depending on how it buffs out, it might not need a paint job right away. Also, it didn't come with a roof rack or spoiler. It could use some front end work. Ball joints, bushings, tie rods, etc. It will take some work but I need something to get me out of the house.

I know what you mean about getting out. Sounds like you've got a healthy driveline in it. The 93's didn't come with spoilers, I wouldn't put one on there personally :lol: . Was it set up for a roof rack and it was removed, or did it come without it?
Also, count your lucky stars for the rust, but be sure to check the front body mounts just in case.... there was a lot of rust hiding there on mine :rant:

Hey man nice job on getting a Ty! I just live down 156 by 287. One of my good friends just moved to Justin (ever see a StuntLife.com trailer? hehe) and we take the kids to church up there as well.
I have some Ty projects here and it would be sweet to have another SyTy guy around to play with the trucks. Sounds like we both have out work cut out for us! lol

I have some Ty projects here and it would be sweet to have another SyTy guy around to play with the trucks. Sounds like we both have out work cut out for us! lol

Cool, Stuntlife lives about 4 houses over from me. I've seen the trailer. Yeah, we will have to get together sometime. I'll pm ya my phone # if your ever up this way and want to come by.

I believe this is original paint and doesn't look like it came with a roof rack from the factory and no a spoiler wont be going on. Thanks for the heads up on the rust underneath. I be sure and look out for that.

Thanks Greg for posting the pics up. The after pics was just after a power washing, so I think it will buff out fairly well. Got to fix some of the cladding and get it cleaned up then it will be on the road. Well,, still have to have to redo all the steering stuff, but that's in works right now. It's been way too long since I've driven a Sy/Ty....Really looking forward to it. :thumbsup:

Mine cleaned up alright as well. My Ty is wearing some new shoes today. hehe
