Thanks. I will try the red high temp first because it is easirer, if that don't work I will go to the copper with locktite.

Thanks!

sce-4117 is the copper gasket. i have had them leak with the ATRs. Customer insisted i use them, they leaked, sealed right up just by removing them and using a small amount of silicone.

I had many problems with the gaskets on stock headers. Most people seem to have great success with the RTV solution. I won't be installing gaskets on the exhaust system again. HTH.

I had Fel-Pro 1403 with my atr headers, they were on 4 years with no problems. Took them off last week and they looked almost new. Put them back on with RTV this time though.

I would like to ask though, out of the people having problems with leaks did you check the flanges for straightness?
I battled some leaks with my atr headers using both copper gaskets and high-temp rtv. I took the headers into my machine shop and had him deck the flanges since they were a little out and then used the SCE copper gaskets and haven't had a leak yet. Also at that time I installed the stage 8 locking header bolts so I never have to check them again. I heat cycled the system once then checked the bolts and install the locks.
So food for thought about guys having issues, even though they are bolted down if they truly are not flat you might have issues no matter what.
