That would be me. How long has your Ty been out of commission.
All I know is the last thing I want to do after working on cars all day is come home and work on mine. So therefore its been sitting for about 2 years. But i'm starting to get the urge to drive it so we might see it running soon...
Not new to the SyTy's. Mine has been apart for about 2-3 years now. If any of you are planning on meeting up let me know. I could probably use a Sy or Ty to look at. Might get me on the road to getting mine running.

I had to do this about a year ago so i don't remember what exact wire it was but I do remember that it was on the driver side firewall. There should be two relays of which one will be the fuel pump. If you have a test light and a friend you can find out pretty easy what wire it is.

The stock vortecs flow around 215 @ .500". With a "good" valve job(using stock valves) you can get a 5-8 percent increase in flow over stock.
All this depends on intended usage of the engine.
With stock vortecs I would use a cam that has duration in the 205-215 @ .050", A LSA of 112-116 and...
The stock heads flow:
(164 @ .500" - Stock)
The vortec heads flow:
(213 @ .500" - Stock)
Actual flow numbers as tested by me on a SF-600 flowbench.
I did have all the numbers from .200"-.650" but those were on my laptop which is now history.
I have seen people say that their vortecs flow...
The question was not specific enough.
Not every three angle valve job is the same.
This would be like me asking if anyone has made more power with a custom cam but not asking the specs.
Then ten people post their results and some say they picked up power and some lost. What will I be able...
Did you by chance weigh the pistons without the pins in?
The JE pins should be light weight and I would like to know just what the actual difference in piston weight is.

Depends where you want to go.
1.94" or 2.02"
A full race port with 1.94's the valve is the limiting factor.(maxing around 265-275 plenty of material left)
A full race port with 2.02's the port is the limiting factor.(knocking on 300 and about to become a miner)
I am using 1.94's for the...
This is too general a question and no answer is going to be definate.
The majority of people porting heads and doing vavle jobs are stupid people. The outcome of a 3+ angle valve job depends on who is doing it.
The most frequently used valve job that I have seen would have to be a...
The Vector engine looks to be just a bored or stroked TT TPI 350.

To get the final lift you multiply the LOBE lift by the rocker ratio.
.300" lobe
Ex.
.300 x 1.5 = .450" valve lift
.300 x 1.6 = .480" valve lift

The stupidity involved in this is unbelievable.
Sorry that you got that end of the stick.
