What is the recommended stall speed for the torque converter on a stock (for now) typhoon motor, being used in a 2wd s10 pick-up?

Re: tranny suggestions I wont be doing the rebuild, I'll be having a shop do that part. I know that I could just do a performance build on a 2wd trans, but I just wasn't about using the sy/ty specific parts during the rebuild.

is it possible got convert a ty trans for use in a 2wd s10? I've talked to several transmission shops, but got mixed answers. Some say just do a performance build on a 2wd 700r4. Some say the case is different from the standard 700r4, so i cant swap the output shaft and tail housing to one from...
