I know that truck a little. The trans went bad and was rebuilt by the guy that did mine. Not sure exactly went into it but you've probably a stout trans for build.
Pulled on the dimmer to go from high to low beams and something broke. The lever moves just fin but obviouly it's not connected to anything. And I stuck with high beams only. What do you think broke and how doI fix it?
Thanks!
This is a trial balloon, just gauging if there is even any interest. Medical reasons will, probably, soon force me to sell my Syclone. Many mods. Many spares. Kick in rear to drive. Runs in the 11s at Sonoma. Won't smog of course.

Is it just the hose(s) that are bad? If so then you should be able to find a place that can replace them. I once had a custom hose made at a shop that does custom cars and makes custom hoses all the time. Told them what I wanted and had it the next day.
Since the front driveline has to come out anyway (if you're gonna pull the front dif) why not pull it first and see what happens. At that point you can move the front yoke and see how much play (backlash) or other looseness there is. Are any of the seals leaking? If it's just a small amount...
In no particular order... Check the fluid in the front and rear differentials. (Neither have drains.) The rear can be drained by removing the cover. You might get some out of the front with vac machine. Never done that. You can also remove the front driveline. This takes all load from the front...
