    Transfer Case Viscous Clutch ?

It doesn't appear that STE Couplers exists any longer. Does anyone have a source for a decent rebuilt coupler? I have 2 trucks that need couplers. Thanks.

    Power terminal for fuel pump

From memory, so this may be incorrect: Pnk/blk, grn/wht, gry, orn.

    Power terminal for fuel pump

They probably aren't. I purchased a really nice non-running Sy years ago that I got running fairly quickly, but it had no power. It ran smooth, but absolutely couldn't get out of its own way. 3 injectors on the same side of the engine were not flowing any fuel. (The firing order is one side...

    Power terminal for fuel pump

Yes. The post next to it with the red wires is battery voltage.

    Power terminal for fuel pump

True. But the relay in the pic is not the Fuel Pump relay. The FP relay is outboard of the brake booster. Has a gray wire in it. (The other relay is the A/C clutch relay, has mostly green wires in it.)

    fan shroud needed

It may not be. I amended my post above.

    fan shroud needed

There is no difference between the SyTy and the LB4 upper shroud. (There is a difference for the L35 upper shroud, but it can be modified for the SyTy.) The lower half for SyTy is the same for all 4 wheel drive, 4.3 1st gen. The 2WD lower won't work at all on a 4WD. If Phil questions it, I...

Need a little help Dash wiring

Hi Neno! I was wondering what progress you had made in the year since I got your wiring back to you. Yes there are "assembly manuals" and documentation/instructions to the assembly plants on how to build and what parts to use. I have some of these for Corvettes, but have never seen any for the...

    Shifter cable

C4 Corvette is the correct configuration, but about 15" shorter. I doubt it can be made to work in a SyTy. Too short. I measured a SyTy cable I have in my stash: Eye to eye is 40" length, and from the cir-clip groove to cir-clip groove is 28.5".

    Solid motor mounts

I don't give a fuck what anyone uses for mounts. But thanks for your 2 cents in a 3 month old thread. The OP in this thread has moved on from broken motor mounts. He crashed it.

"Any Typhoons out there running?" There. Fixed it for ya.

Max boost with factory boost solenoid

What do you need "boost control" for? Pull the waste-gate hose off and leave it off. You'll hit 30+psi.

    Cams

121 MPH at 3,400 pounds is 340 net horsepower. That's net after drivetrain, alternator, and other losses. Not bad.

    Cams

Phil: How did that cam respond at low RPM, before boost built? I would expect kind of lethargic, especially with the low compression turbo engines should have. I've never seen a cam with 0 deg of overlap. The exhaust closes at exactly the same time the intake opens. 6 deg AFTC. On the other...

    Typhoon Information

Who gives a shit? There were no 1992 red/red. So it's a fake. Probably has a fake odometer reading too.

    Rear disk conversion kit?

If you can find a 98-up 4X4 Blazer rear axle, take the whole thing. There are several differences. The axle shaft is 3/16" longer. The mounting plate welded to the axle tube is in a different location. I used a complete axle. I had functioning park brakes with an hour work. There's a thread on...

    Hot Rod Garage - Typhoon

DO NOT OPEN THE LINK!! It locked up my computer with the "call this number scam" that was run years ago to get you to call a number that charged exorbitant phone fees. Anyone remember the Bubba's Garage thread? (Something like that title.) That was F-ing epic.

Wanted to buy passenger exhaust manifold

Bolt it to a loose head and weld it. There is an 'art' to welding cast iron so it won't crack adjacent to the weld, so be sure the guy doing it knows what he's doing. Pre-heating the part prior to welding is an important step in the process. That was my plan for the crack if it had gotten bad...

    Solid motor mounts

I'm sorry you're having trouble with the mounts. "Motor mounts" have been a frequent topic of discussion on here since 1998, when I joined. Comes up all the time. The original Chevrolet (not aftermarket) mounts were good for 10-15 years in stock street driven trucks. Yes they were $100 each in...
