1992 Typhoon Or 1993?

Ok guys, For a while I have always said..."Whenever I can, I'll get a 92 or 93"

But what are some pros and what are some cons about them? Or are they JUST the same. I happen to like the interrior a little better on the 93.

Is there anything different about the engines in these two years? Or anything I should watch out for? Thanks again guys.

As far as I know the only differences between the two were different color combinations available between the two years, big black door handles on the 92s, and leather backed in black vinyl in the 93s versus leather backed in grey cloth in the 92s.

I *think* that's it.

93's had the vinal backed interior, but no "Typhoon" on the head rest. 93's also had an overhead console, and I thing some of the plastic pieces were a little different, like grey instead of silver in color. they also had different floor mats.
on the exterior in 1993, they removed the door handle gaurds, the roof rack was lower profile, gold decals instead of silver, and a few of the colors changed as we all know. Other that the "mysterious" 5 extra horsepower, thats about all I can think of.

The year shouldn't matter as much as the condition, and the value for your money.

Being sentimental for one particular year may blind you from a better Typhoon.

I am still saving my money, and patiently waiting. When it's meant to be, it will just all come together.

Well, everyone knows that the '93 Ty's are much faster, after all they have less weight on the door handles.

I don't remember where i read it but the 92 and 93 motors are different. i do however remeber something about the pistons and rods.

Despite my last joking comment, a serious note:
I think the '93s have the overhead console (like a Bravada?) and the '92s don't.... If I get a '92, how hard is it to have a console put in...

Thanks

I have had my 92 Ty since 92. Right now I am driving my bosses 93. I like the seats in the 92 more than the 93. The 93 are kinda puffy . They are electric , but the 92 seats seem to go back further.

Its not like I am tall , but I like to drive with the seat back further than it goes in the 93.

93 has an overhead console -and the visors on the 93 are better - they have the little slide out at the side.

There are a few other little things , but most of it all is the same.

Man, that sounds like a dream life/job: have a Typhoon, and your boss has one, too!

Jus curious, but how did that happen?

I'd like to see where you read that, because it is wrong.
