4L80E and torsion bar cross member

Hey guys, it looks like my transfer case will not fit unless I notch the torsion bar cross member, just curious who has done it and if you have pics, any input appreciated, coilovers are just not in the budget right now

I didnt cut mine , just removed it entirely .LOL .

I notched mine the last time I had the transfer case out. I could get the transfer case out without notching it just barely by removing the bottom bolts that hold the tail housing on the transfer case.

Ive noticed no ill effect from notching it, and it makes the transfer case fall in and out now.

I do agree that notching it is a better idea for most than just removing it .

I almost bought one of the $300 replacement options offered but decided to wait and have one welded in when the cage gets installed .

A Typhoon may be different than a Syclone when notching the cross member for room.
