So today I'm talking to Jake about the transmission he's building for me. He mentions he's building another 80e for a Syclone right now & the guy sent down a really nice billet tailshaft for his build. :rotf::tup::rotf::rotf: I say "really, about 3 inches thick & billet aluminum with the counter bore holes for the trans bolts", Jake, "yeah, you have one to", Oh yeah;):roll:, small world. Just curious who's it was. Jake was pretty impressed by it, said he was going to take a pic of it & put it up on his site for syty'ers that may not come here, kinda cool & thanks for whoever sent it down. Also, anyone else running a Jake's 4L80e?

I'm using one of his rebuild kits to overhaul a 4L80E. His technical knowledge is up there with anyone else's I've read so far. He has a ton of useful posts on ls1tech.com, performancetrucks.net, and his own site. I'm surprised I haven't seen him mentioned on here more often, with all the people doing 4L80E swaps.

Probably would be more peeps doing the swap if there was the right shaft for the transfer case.

I tried to email him about their trans brake for a 4l80e twice with no response:(
Perhaps they may not like foreigners:)
