92 vs 93 shift lever button?

I just saw GT43 post up and thought I would ask...

My truck originally came with a stepped, angular button. It got damaged on removal and I replaced it with a C4 Vette button, same as in the recent pic.

Is this a 92/93 thing or was mine from a different truck from the beginning.

Does anyone have a picture of the one I am talking about? Kind of square...

My old 93 Typhoon looked like the same shifter button as my Syclone which looked the same as my 86 Corvette. I had all 3 shifters apart.

Yup. The rounded one. I am talking about a somewhat square shifter with a recessed button. Anyone?

Working on my projects, I've acquired console/shifter parts from 92's & 93's. All had the same as pictured. Maybe Saudi bound trucks had that different, along with instrument cluster???
A European thing.

Damn. I need to dig it out. I was hoping there might have been a replacement. The big swollen one is a little too... phallic!
