Classic car insurance options?

I need to cancel "Steal" Farm. Right after setting up draft payment, they tripled my quoted premium of $25/mo. Any suggestions?

Thanks. Tried to get a quote online and get kicked out because of "invalid" email address. I. Have to call I suppose.

I use JC Taylor. I've never made a claim, so I can't tell you how that goes, but the rates seem fair to me

Hagerty for me. $15K agreed value, for $700 a year in expensive (catastrophic claim fee hell) Michigan.

I have American Collectors Insurance, but that was all that was available in MA up until last year. I fortunately haven't had to use it. I have an agreed value policy and I am limited to 3,000 miles year. I think it needs to be garaged as well, but I am not sure. My truck is always garaged and I rarely put on more than 1k miles.

Classic collectors. Maybe $100 a year or so, but rates get better and better after the 4th car on the policy I believe.

I used haggerty in the past. For no reason every year it went up. it was $560, $620, $700, then i said see you later when they told me $800. So the past 2 years I've been with Grundy for $358

State Farm collector here. It is just over $200 a year for $22,800 coverage.

That was the original quote I got from the current agent. I was promised a discount if set up as automatic draft. Set it up and got hit with a first draft of over $75. Needless to say, I'm done with this company as well as Allstate. The hook was the first payment under $25. Paid that upfront and thought I was set, at my age and all.

That's cool but still high if they limit your mileage to only 1500 per year.

American Collectors. I don't think I have a mileage limit or even much of a usage limit, but I'd have to check. Think I paid $275.

Re: Classic car insurance options?

I'm going through this now for my truck.

I have always bundled my cars & home together. My truck is insured for replacement cost (as a Syclone, not S10) plus X amount for my modifications with Erie. I currently pay $350/year for a roughly $30k policy. Leisure use, garaged vehicle, owner over 30.

I started calling around for collectors insurance. Hagerty said "newer modified collector cars are the highest risk". They quoted me $1,600/year for $30k agreed value. Total BS.

The Grundy rep i called said he doesn't include Syclones.

I talked to Heacock in Florida, and they quoted me $700/year for $35k agreed value.

I also reached out to Larue who was recommended on Lateral-G. Havent heard back from them yet.

I also have American Collectors, for quite a few years now. I pay $300 something per year. Never used it except to get a tow one time due to a broken rim and flat tire.
