When I was at the track last friday night I pulled behind a WRX with black wheels, hood pins, huge exhaust tip, the make me go fast stickers, and 5 point belts. The owner and his "crew" worked under the hood for about 30-40 minutes then finally wonder over to my truck. And they said all the same things, "yeah" these things have the GN motor, there OK outta the hole but have nothing top end. I was silent, taking it all in. They asked "what will it run?" I pretended it was my first time there. I said "I don't know, well see when we get back" I didn't even pretend to be interested in thier car. I was talking with a older guy who had a new corvette. I saw the WRX run, 15.4, I was laughing. As soon as we get back the "crew" was telling the owner about my run and didn't even come over. Hmmm... Oh, I only ran a 12.11 on my first run. After that I had three 11 second passes. Most of the import crowd have no idea about our trucks. I like one I had at the track once... "why you put a syclone motor in here" That was my Ty he was referring too.

Damn!! That's impressive as hell!

How are you managing 11.7's on the stock injectors?? Also does the TE45 bolt up to the stock downpipe or do you have some aftermarket downpipe? Thanks. PS: Do you have any extra work done like porting on the heads or intake?

Does the TE45 drop right in like a Mitsubishi 20G? Are there any drawbacks like leaky adapters? Anyone have a photo of one or a site selling one with product info?

yeah, it drops right in. it does require an adapter for the downpipe. you dont need the adapter if you cut and re clock the dowpipe flange to line up with the turbo bolt holes. some other little hardware things are needed for the plumbing. i heard about some problems with the bearing being wrong. i ran one for 3 years(running a t72 now) it ran fine without any problems. after 3yrs just a small stress crack in the exhuast housing but ive seen that in other turbos. the best et i could get was 12.60.

The Te-45 does bolt to the stock downpipe with an adapter. I did forget one other mod. The 9/11 converter from Brian Hartman. My stock injectors are fine and if you have diacom or datamaster I can send the file you you can see. I feel I probally have one the fastest original motored/head/trans/downpipe/injectors trucks out there. It's all in the tuning, tuning, tuning. Pour over your data logs and find what works and what doesn't. Change things one at a time and collect more data. Oh, for those that asked I use NGK UR5's in both trucks. Love'em
