I wrapped my downpipe to keep heat out of the engine bay. I don't know why anyone would wrap their whole exhaust on their car/truck. Seems like it would be expensive and pointless?

I don't understand that either. Exhaust systems tend to be fairly cool passed the cats.

It's from street rodder magazine. Guys with more money than brains get their cars built by shops who will charge for that kinda stuff.

Just a FYI, I use stainless steel MIG welding wire to tighten down. I have purchased the bands in pkg but I think its easier to get the tight "tightness" with the stainless wire. For some reason Im not a big fan of the bands they remind me of the CV boot bands.

I find the S/S wire breaks, my wire was 309 S/S. I like the stainless zip ties alot... I was able to get mine from NAPA and with pliers they got tight...

The wrap presoak in water will also help give that rust a jump start! :tup:
