Moving a 4L80E with no wiring connected

Hey guys, quick question, can i move my ty with out the computer connected, will it hurt anything, i am talking about moving it 25 feet at idle on and off the hoist at work, it would save me a lot of hassle if its possible :tup:

I've seen it done for 2 months on a car that then ran 9's once it was finished. Can't comment on it actually hurting it.

Thanks for the reply :tup:, yes my main concern is i don't want to hurt it, it would beat pushing it on and off the hoist as it has to be used during business hours

The 80e defaults to 2nd gear if power is removed . It will move forward and slow but you wont hurt it just going on/off a lift .

We drove several miles in 2nd default when trying to figure out the GM ecm stuff back when I developed the 80e kit. Trans lasted for several years after and was only taken apart to freshen it up.

when you put the selector in reverse it will. Drive will be stuck in 2nd gear, full line pressure I believe
