My Typhoon is Done - Now With Pics

GM TURBO

Sell Out
Just wanted to let you guys know that my Ty is finally back in my possession and all is well - for today. This is really the first I have driven it since September 27th - and I gotta say it is great. I am gonna go snap some pics of it sitting in the garage and have BW put them up.

The pics are in BW's possession right now. They are kinda crappy. It was raining outside and there isn't a lot of room to snap pics in the garage. But you will get the idea. Once the weather gets better and I have a chance to wax it I will have more.

so does your truck have a salvage title now? what kind of wheels are those? looks a hell of a lot better than when i saw the pics of it on the flatbed after it was stolen.

Borbet Type T wheels? Very nice...2 local Silvia's have those - looks sweet.

Being BW's homo isn't all that bad - he takes good care of his bitches.

Tyler is correct - they are Borbet Type Ts. A buddy of mine gets a discount from TireRack so I ordered them through him. They aren't the lightweight ones from Al. I was hoping to keep my money for other things - but that hasn't exactly gone as planned either. I am pretty pleased on how they turned out. It is had to tell from a picture how they will look - but all in all I am pretty happy.

The tires are 255/45/17 Kuhmos. Again going with the budget minded choice - but these tires seem to be really good. I drove around yesterday in the rain and they hold like a champ. I pushed a few corners harder than I should and it still handled them really well. I am still on a quest to find their limit  Basically the whole front end is new. The shop that was doing it wasn't interested in doing the poly bushings - but it is REAL tight with all the new stuff.

I still haven't detailed my truck at all since I got it back. I washed it before I took the pics. I might wax it this weekend if I can drive it home from the car wash without getting dirty. The only thing I had fixed that wasn't damaged in the "incident" was a rust spot over the rear window. Other than that the truck looks great. It will get lowered sometime soon as well as front clears. I have the carbon fiber Altezzas on the back - I don't remember if they turned out in the pics. I will have to do a little warm weather tuning - right now it is running great. I haven't put it on a Datamaster yet but it has been driven pretty conservatively. That is about it. I will get more pics later as today we are getting snow

Thanks for the compliments.
