a couple weekends ago i was hanging out with some of the car folk here in johnson city, tn. these guys pull up looking for races for their buddy. my buddies look at me, but i didn't feel like racing. i don't race that much. i said i wasn't interested. their buddy pulls up in a sweet TRD celica all done up and even a lot of money put into the engine so i've heard. supposedly the car runs like 13's. i don't like losing and my ty is still pretty much bone stock. a buddy of mine with an s-10, for fun, said he'd run. he knew he was going to lose though. they went to the good late night racing spot where i guess it was a joke. the TRD obliterated the s-10, no surprise. when they all returned i was pressured into racing. i think some thought i may lose. so i gave in and went out to the spot. we lined up, i boosted up a little and WHAM! i was gone i think i got 4 car lengths on him and stayed there, maybe edged up a tad bit more. he wanted to run again, i think he thought i jumped so we went from a light. WHAM! i was gone again probably 4 car lengths again and creeping away a tiny bit more then WHOOMP PSHHEEEEEEEWWWWWWWW!!!! all the built up pressure went blaring out the bov, it over boosted or something at about 105mph. the race was already done though. when we returned everyone was pretty impressed with my launches. i've never really launched it hard before. :wink: i think the guys girlfriend was a little disappointed that i won.
