The Faster stock turbo cars run Low 12s high 11s with precision tuning and years of tweeking. It takes a extreamly healthy truck to do this right. Id say in a otherwise stock Ty
12.50s be possable with 25 psi and alky.

I agree with autoaddictions. In a ty probably won't see an 11, mid 12's yes. Tuned properly and everything working as it should.

Re: Performance Expectations

You better add 1 more thing to your list of stuff. That being a new fuel pump as the stock one is at it's limit from the factory.

I am looking at getting an AEM progressive kit. Not The Best Kit (pump rated for Max 50% Mix), But i can get it local for a decent price.

On a side note, Can chips be programmed to accept a W/B input?

Youre going to regret it. I bought Devils own which WORKS but the controller is pretty much garbage. May as well spend the money the first time. Besides, 50/50 mix will just get rid of knock. You want the power you need to run 100% meth. Just my opinion.

Devils Own states right on there site that there pumps are only rated for max 50/50 mix as well. Are you using there pumps at 100% with any problems?

Re: Performance Expectations

My only issue is the controller. I talked to Chance before I bought my kit and he said there is no problem with running 100%. From what I have heard, the pumps are all basically the same. I could be wrong though.

Re: Performance Expectations

Can't recall exactly, i got mark at campbell automotive to order one in for me if i am not mistaken i think it was about 500 bucks, i have the same kit on both my Tys and have run 100% methanol in both with zero issues, might be best to just give alky control a shout 813-2650-1400

Re: Performance Expectations

Not been happy with the devil's own controller myself either, along with the plastic tubing supplied -vs- alkycontrol's braided.

Plastic melts, then you have meth spraying all over inside the engine bay.

I guess I prefer braided myself, at least for the pressure side.

GM, Ford, imports, all use plastic fuel line, but they're fanatical about keeping it away from heat.
Keep in mind, it's not impossible for our intake piping to push 300 degrees, which can make some plastics kinda mushy.

As to the original poster's original question...

I've had several stock Tys in the high 12s. A few in the 12.60-12.70 range. While it's not impossible to see 12.40s-12.30s and lower, it takes a very strong stocker, and a well worked out tune. Low 12s would be an "eeeleet" tune, and likely some weight savings.

If you've got 17" or larger wheels, lots of stereo equipment, or other weight added, you can expect to slow the above numbers by .3 -.6
