Time to put them away

Just sharing.

Spent last weekend getting ready to put the trucks away. I still have to move the Typhoon down to the barn but the Syclone is down there. Have to mount the Snowthrower to the tractor to move that up to the garage.

I setup my critter trap about 3 weeks ago. Got 4 mice last weekend when it got cold out.

Winter came too early this year.

Finished up my black pipe runs last week in the barn. Happy to have air again. Just need to order a new hose reel - if anybody has suggestions.

Hope everybody had a good SyTy year.

Nice setup you have.

I bought a cheap hose real from Harbor Freight. It has lasted several years.

They are cheap enough to replace if fails.

How does the critter trap work? I have a mouse problem in my garage and that seems like a great, easy idea.

Drill two holes on the top edge of a bucket opposite eachother and put a dowel (or I used allthread) and then put a piece of PVC over that. Then just put a ramp up to it and put some peanut butter on the middle of the pipe.

When they come up to the get the peanut butter they try to walk on the pvc and it spins on the allthread and they fall into the bucket.

Water works but Antifreeze is winter proof and won't smell as bad once they're dead.

Eric - I went with the flexzilla one but the metal one. I dig it.

Also found the Flexzilla hi flow fittings on Amazon - swapped over the impact gun. Not sure how much real world difference it'll make but I ran a lot of nice pipe so might as well give it all I got.

Cool, I didn't know they had high flow fittings. I have the red colored fittings and I have no complaints.

Did you get the "Flexzilla® Pro High Flow" connectors? I wonder if they are compatible with what I have or if I would have to swap over all my fittings....

Re: Time to put them away

I got this...

https://www.amazon.com/Flexzilla-High-Flow-Coupler-Plug/dp/B01CK42B32

There's a smaller kit also that just has half the pieces.

I know their coupler will fit regular plugs because I have other tools that work fine that I'm not going to bother to switch over to the high flow fittings. EDIT - New plugs won't work with regular couplers so you'll need to updated all your couplers.

I had originally used a barb fitting with no disconnect to hook my sandblasting cabinet into the air line because I didn't want to neck it down to 1/4 but now after seeing these fittings I think I might put the coupler back inline. Sometimes when I had the couplers on there at the old warehouse it seemed like the flow wasn't what it should be.

I LOVE dead mice! I HATE live mice, fuggers

a friend of mine just had a $450 bill for a 2016 Traverse that mice ate 6 wires causing the SRS light to come on. Plus another $80 to replace the underhood insulation panel. He's currently out for justice....

I wasn't going to update this thread again but this is noteworthy for you mice haters. FYI I cleaned the bucket out 2 weeks ago.

Crazy.

Re: Time to put them away

Love it... I have 10 rat traps I snagged and over half of them have the peanut butter eaten off regardless of the massive "mice" I've seen running around. I didn't take any pics of the bucket lady go around but it had several. Just PVC and a wooden dowel, plus peanut butter.
