Does anyone have experience with best tire and wheel size for best 1/8 mile times with stock 3.42 gears,60mm turbo and 2800 stall?

Many don't go above the 17s. Unless your pushing some serious HP. One of my trucks I run 18s but Also pushing 26psi 120lb/4l80e/Ported Vortecs and Forged internals and crank.

Ok. Thanks. My best is 1.70 60ft on factory wheels and tire size. Best 1/8 is 7.83. Stock engine with meth and 26 psi of boost. Hit 28 psi a few days ago. Truck felt like a rocket.😁

Bored, cam, 50Lb inj, ported stock heads, 44/63 turbo, 2800 stall @ 16lbs boost and a Turbo Time tune. 7.52 @ 92.35 mph

Do you run your truck in drive for the 1/8 mile,or let it shift into overdrive? What rpm you running in the 1/8? What size downpipe you running?

Yes, like DaveP said. I do have a shift kit also. I have a mod govnor also, shifts at 6k. I have a 3" down pipe into a 3" cat (fake) into a 3" muff, into 2 2.5" tail pipes, all stainless. I have zero backpressure at 16 lbs boost.

The stock wheels are 16 x 8 correct ? Do you know if Z06 18 x 10.5 wheels will fit ?

I had my quickest 60s on 15" Weld Alumastars with Hoosier stickies all around. Saved close to 20# per wheel/tire, if I remember right.
Ripped off some low 1.50s with the stock unopened block and a 20g.

Can't run 15s with bigger brakes, however.

I was really not wanting to say anything, but what I want to say is...I saw a guy, named Dig, and he had 15" rims, all the math was there, and he proved it. Try to find light weight rims at 16", (I run BBS 16" at half the weight of a stock rim) so I can run the bigger brakes...or (I would run 15") Stock rims are terrible for drag racing, no matter what you do, they weigh a ton. I also know a guy name Jeremy...He has light weight 17" corvette rims, magnesium, if I remember, he rips also. Start working the math, my .02
