I think I'm going to get the same kind of reaction when I take my g/f for her maiden voyage in the twin gt28 Stage 3 car this evening. I've only gone half throttle in it so far and it was still scary. Might have to go WOT with her in the passenger seat. :lol:

That Ty is really nice, Mike!! It's going to be awesome driving that thing around town!

Can you make an exhaust sound clip for us? :D

Nice Ty Mike! Before I decided to rip my Syclone apart my wife had the same reaction. I was told never to launch like that again. lol Sounds good at idle, looking forward to seeing some more action with your beast!

i do too! It's nice being able to quickly read things rather than how the stock cluster looks.

I might consider upgrading to the BigStuff3 specific racepak, which lets you monitor everything that BS3 does...but for now i can just use the laptop.

I still dont understand how you are boosting something with 10:1 compression. Is it all in the tune? ---

10:1 can be boosted, just not 27 psi like a 8.5 motor could.

I am running 9.6 or so.... 6psi feels like 20 in a syty though.

Nice ty Mike. I was looking at the t-case in that pic and noticed that the rear crossmember after the t-case is missing... Or am I just not seeing it? And the t-case is hanging alittle low is that the stock t-case? I love the sound of that ls1, by the way...

that middle frame brace that is missing was removed for ease of t-case installation. Once you convert to 4l80e, getting the tcae installed requires clearancing that brace, or removing it. I plan on putting a building a tubular brace at some point to replace the big bulky stocker one.

Yes, I am in the process of building my own right now and that is the reason why I noticed it missing. I bent mine up really good, pulling it out. So, I had to build another one. Mine is simular to Mike Lee's with the drive shaft loop. I would love to see more video of your green beast please.

Oh, the reason I asked if that is the stock T-case is, mine is hanging below the frame as well. I am running a 5.3 , silverado rear end 8.5 (I think) 4l80e and a np264 t-case. I was looking for reference, to see how low the stock tcase hangs with the 4l80e. Mine is hanging about 3 inches below the frame (woow). I think I have to build a skid plate for it. How low does yours go below the frame rails?

well the truck is at a tranny shop. From the get go, it's never shifted into OD. Most likely just the shift solenoids, but i'm replacing all the solenoids while the pan it off, just to play it safe. I figured while the truck was up on the rack, i might as well take some pics....so i made a panoramic of the undercarriage. Enjoy!

and btw...the entire shop was drooling over the truck. So the Typhoon informed population grew be a few today. :tup:

Mike did you go to any tranny shop or was it a performace place. Just curious where people are taking there trucks now a days.

its at AAMCO since they have a self contained computer to plug into the tranny to test it. I went to another shop first to get a quote, and they didn't want to just swap solenoids, and they didn't have a computer to test it - they only had something that would plug into the ECM...but i'm pretty sure Big Stuff 3 wouldn't have cooperated with that. :lol:

The guy working on it literally got goosebumps when he popped the hood. Apparently they were all standing around it drooling over it. When i rolled up they were taking pictures of the underside with my camera (as i'd requested since i was on a conf call and couldn't get there right away) and they were very eager to talk about the truck.

He was impressed with it at on his road test at 0psi. I'll show him some boost once the solenoids get swapped out. :tup:
