really? that seems high...

how are we able to check what the vehicle speed pulse is? where can i check to see the spec's.

i need this to program the boost controller.
on the boost controller the numbers i believe range from 1-20 or so.

thanks!

From the service manual:

"The ECM applies and monitors 12 volts on CKT 437. CKT 437 connects to the DRAC, which alternately
grounds CKT 437, when receiving voltage pulses from Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) when drive wheels are
turning. This pulsing action takes place about 2000 times per mile and the ECM will calculate vehicle speed
based on the time between “pulses.”
A “Scan” tool reading should closely match the speedometer reading with drive wheels turning."

How does the VSS interface with your boost controller?

thanks jim,

well under the "settings" i have to program it to the vehicle specific. so i have to set how many cylinder's there are, VSP, and throttle position. i assume it needs all this information to be able to show feedback. it's the new Apex-i AVC-R. i called apex-i and they told me to try 2, or 4. i remember long time ago Dave Perry knew all this stuff. but not sure if he's still around. so maybe i was thinking 2000 pulse per minute. maybe they ask in seconds. but that still seems high to me.

well, thanks! i'm still trying to figure this thing out...
