I just received a PM on a local board, asking me if I had heard anything about a recently wrecked Ty in Red Deer.

Does anyone have any information?

Here is the PM I received.

Word has it that a Typhoon was written off down in RedDeer(where I am). Engine was pushing 600whp I hear too. Trucks pretty messed up but driveline is good. If you know anyone down here that knows this guy(I dont know him nor have a clue) you may want to jump on this.

First off I hope that it is no one that we know, and second, that no one was hurt.

I sure would like a project Ty though...

I think that might be the one that Davenport built the motor on last year, and the same one that Nolan made custom chips for...

If it made 600 hp, then Nolan *knows* the truck.

Gord, get the vin.

And if you can get some more info, let's take a lil roadtrip on Saturday...

That was Marks Sy.

Some woman missed a stop sign and t-boned his pasenger door at highway speed. The truck was a total loss, Mark was banged up pretty bad, Broken jaw, wired shut for a month. The worst part was his dog lost it's life in the wreck, he was in the passenger seat and didn't have a chance.

I haven't seen the truck myself but Nolan was VERY suprised Mark came out of it alive.

If it's okay with Mark I'll get some pics and post them. He got the truck back from the insurance company and is deciding what to do with it now.

Damn, I was afraid that it was going to be a friend of someone on the board...

I am sorry to hear about Marks injuries and his Dogs death.

It may have been in poor taste to ask about his plans for the truck, if so, I apologize.

Wholey carp! That really sucks.

Maybe someone can pass on my well wishes to Mark. Good to hear he's at least still alive and kickin' though. Side impacts are always the worst.

Mark got the truck back from his insurance company. Last I heard he hadn't really decided what to do yet. There was some talk of selling the motor to Ed for his ty.

Then again there could have been another wreck, who knows? Where have you been hearing about it from?

By PM from a Red Deer friend.

This was the latest message from him.

"I got more info on that typhoon, which isn't good news, the rear end is already gone to someone, engine tranny, and t-case are gone, gauge pack is gone."

It might be another truck. Hard to say.

See if you can find anything else out.

As far as I know Mark hasn't sold anything yet. I'll see if that has changed.

I could use some spare parts for my ty project.

I am doing better everyday, but the truck not so much. :(

There is a list of parts for sale in the "parts for sale" section. I also have many more little parts.

Email or phone anytime with parts requests.

It looks like the motor and trans will go in Ed's typhoon
