Description
This is VIN #331 I purchased it in 1996. This Ty was re-built from a theft recovery shell, with the project being completed in May 2000. Appears as stock. Stock engine and drive-train, renewed in Spring, 2008. Very enjoyable, reliable (finally!) car for long-distance trips. As of 12/2008 I have driven it on 3 round-trips to Denver, Pittsburgh, then Waco, TX and return this year. Nothing but oil changes required since the engine work in March 2008.
1/29/09:Completed a cross-country 6,200 mile round-trip from Los Angeles to Miami, FL and return. Changed the oil in FL, but that was the only time the hood was open. Over 25K now, in less than 18 months, with still only oil & filter changes and an O2 sensor. I'm pleased.
8/02/09: Listed for sale on SyTy.net. Full story in "trucks for sale"
8/21/09: Drove it round trip 4,200 miles to Bowling Green, KY for the SyTy Nats11. 35hours each way, non-stop. Auto-X'd while it was there. No problems either direction, with 3 people and our gear aboard.
9/18/2009: Drove it to Boston MA, 3,200 miles one-way, with no tools or spare parts. Had no trouble whatsoever. cleaned it up, and delivered it to new owner. It's now in Rhode Island.
Koni shocks, polished stock wheels, 93 front (power) seats, Walbro 255, ATR exhaust. That's it!
