Anyone near Rapid City, SD know anything about this one?

It was for sale at a car lot 15 miles from me in spring 2007. That was when it had 74,422 miles.

Back in 2007 the dealer here was asking $12,000 at first and then lowered to $10,000 after maybe six weeks. The dealer here had it for maybe three months and the next thing I knew it was in South Dakota. I recall the wheels having curb rash, cracked cladding and the driver's lower seat cushion cover being off center as if it had been tugged away from the seat back; I'm sure it's just from years of people sliding out of the driver seat.

Condition when I saw it was basically average; I don't recall seeing any body rust though.

I did not drive it so I have no comment on mechanical issues.

I believe the engine was rebuilt after it ended up in South Dakota and I only know that from the occasional sightings of this truck on Autotrader and other car sales sites.

For the past five years it appears to have only been in the possession of used car dealers.

The cladding is the wrong color,it has '93 decals and a roofrack.Also the rims are ****ed up.

I'd look around.

Damn, thanks for the info, powercat. Looks like it might be a decent truck if the price were much lower, but it sure is hard to trust it considering the history.

We've convinced Henry that a road trip would be fun, but I'm not sure Greta would last more than 2 hours. Maybe we'll just drop her off in Belview and pick her up on the way back...

Sunni likes this color combo, but I'm not sold on the too-bright cladding or chromed wheels. If nothing else, maybe I'll drive out there to adjust that front bumper cover.

I spoke to the dealer back in March. It has a new engine & repaint except the grille. The exhaust sounded pretty loud compared to my Syclone.
