Sy/Ty chip
I got a set of 42lb injectors of the 3.8 and would like to know if they can be made to work with the velosyty chip for 50lb injectors without too much drama. I have visited the store online and it shows it for stock, 50lb and 60lb. If so, what is base fuel calculated at? Timing remains the same? Thanks!
Junior.

Re: Su/Ty chip
I don't currently have a calibration for 42's. Hopefully in the next couple months I'll be developing a calibration for them (it will be the "Lucas" style disc 42's).
Regards, Eric

Excellent! I'll just have to wait then. Excuse the misspelling. It was my phone's fault and its spellcheck feature. Glad you could decipher my inquiry.

Re: Su/Ty chip
Any updates on the 42's? I am also wondering if the 2 bar is ok for the larger injector/chip set up.
Out of curio-SyTy, what is your truck currently running at the track? What mods so far, Eric? I may have to just sell these low mile 42's and chip off my car to get me the 60#/chip for my truck. |

Re: Su/Ty chip
I have the 42's in my truck now and everything is working great.
My truck is still mainly stock. Last fall, I took it to our local 1/8th mile track and ran 8.20@84mph several times, just pump gas. I was content with that for a stock setup. I couldn't launch worth a crap though. I have a feeling the torque converter may not be stock, as it feels really tight. I couldn't get the RPM's up much over 1700 on launch, maybe 1psi or so. I plan to go back with E85 in it and the 60lb injectors and see how it does. I made a good calibration for E85 and 60's before I pulled the 60's out and it ran fantastic. Eric

Re: Su/Ty chip
On the MAP sensor, you would need the 3-bar MAP. I don't make any 2-bar calibrations other than for the stock injectors. I need to add the 42lb option to my webstore.

Re: Su/Ty chip
Very nice! That translates to roughly 12.80 in the 1/4 mile. Excellent!
