Product Suggestions Page

In the spirit of keeping more sy tys on the road, and more owners happier with their trucks, we would like your suggestions on the type of parts/products that would bring the most value to you as an owner. We have some more products in the works and will be announcing them as they become available, but we want to hear from you guys(and girls) about what you'd to see be available.

Any and all input is appreciated.

Sincerely,

TEAM Sportmachines

Re: Product Suggestions Page

I'd say something that is not just sy/ty only. But something that would go over on the s truck forumn, like maybe a aluminum hood with a 2' cowl induction. I know tooling up would be a killer but hey you asked and that would be a suggestion. Sheet metal like floors/rockers are sold from a offshore maufacturer, so that's available. A tailgate from carbon fiber or aluminum would also be something to consider. Possibly fiberglass, but usually they are not that straight from a small manufacturer.

Re: Product Suggestions Page

I don't know if you guys could, but I (along with a few others recently) would love to see a stock CAC blanket/insulator as seen here:

Congrats on the web page. Those 18" "stock" rims look f'n outstanding. If I ever hit it real big on the poker table, I will be ordering a set

Re: Product Suggestions Page

How about a gauge panel/ pod where the factory radio goes? I know a lot of us aren't running a radio anymore and I would love to see something like this that John G. had made up.

http://www.syty.net/forums/showthrea...t=76451&page=2

I would like to have 2-3 gauges in the same area as the radio and still be able to use the rear hatch popper. I have no need to the heater vents or ashtray either.

Keep up the good work.

Nick

Re: Product Suggestions Page

I once saw a nice tonneau cover that had a slight rise or fin at the back. Just enough to look nice. Don't know who made it but a big (and competitive) market.

Re: Product Suggestions Page

I suggested a few months ago about going back into production with redesigned cast-iron or stainless steel manifolds with slightly larger primaries and larger crossover pipe, but the going rate people were willing to pay was not even in the same ballpark as reality would dictate.

If you need anything cast, lmk. I have a good hookup for this.

Re: Product Suggestions Page

Thanks guys for all of the input and suggestions. We greatly appreciate it, and keep em coming.

We are working on a few new products that we should be rolling out in the next few months so keep a lookout. Some of these suggestions fit right into some of the things we are already working on, so we will try to include some of these suggestions if we can. Some of the other things (like aluminum cowl hoods) will require a lot of interest and a large upfront investment, so those will take much longer. Hopefully things go really well and we're able to make all kinds of stuff!

Thanks again,

TEAM Sportmachines

Re: Product Suggestions Page

- A nice, well-engineered cold-air induction kit, maybe with an integrated mount for a PC680 type battery.

- the 3-gauge pod I made to replace my left front speaker has worked out great and a number of people requested I make those.

Re: Product Suggestions Page

We are actually working on a real, nice, cold air kit. And we have something in the works for battery mouting/relocation for PC680's.

Rack and pinion is something thats on our radar. Theres a lot to consider, but could have mass appeal.

Keep em coming guys.

Re: Product Suggestions Page

There are a lot of things I think we all want made or at least easily available but the cost of limited or even large production numbers is something that must be considered. Another factor is if you guys create parts such as radio delete panels, dash gauge pods (speaker location), cup holder gauge pods, cup holders, cent console shells, or other suggested/nonsuggested items, is that taking away from other business or even you own?? Something to consider. I have a list of items that I personally would lobve to see but I know you sell the NOS/OEM pieces so I don't know if that would be hurting you in any way to make them.

Re: Product Suggestions Page

That is our underlying goal. To provide or develop things that many of us want or make things more readily available or accesable. Things that are readily avaliable for many other cars are elusive for us, so we are going to try to remedy some of that.

As for the potential conflict, we are well aware that some products could potenitally conflict with the part side of things. But the reality is, that many people want certain custom bits, while other would rather have factory, OEM, or NOS stuff. Even with our own trucks, some are stock stock stock, and others are full of custom bits and ideas, and most are somewhere in between. And the bottom line is either way, if people appreciate our products, and we provide quality parts (new, old, oem or custom) and benefit the syty community as a whole, then we will be happy and hopefully so will our customers.

So get that list together and forward it over to us. Thanks
