I have to retrieve my featherlite trailer from Indiana with my RPM transmissioned Syclone aboard. Last thing I need to do is have my wife select a sympathy card so I can give it to you Saturday afternoon (she is better at picking out cards that make people feel better despite a tragic loss). Can't wait to meet you guys!

Re: Countdown!!

You guys do know that Ian is coming and he smoked everyone at AutoX at Nats by a full second or 2....I took "2nd" only by 4 tenths (no official timing devices, so add in human reaction time to stop the clock) in stock class.

Big motors dont mean chit.... its all about being smooooooooooooooth.

Make sure you dont sign that card just yet...you might be keeping it for yourself

Re: Countdown!!

Lol yall crack me up. Dealing with autocross you can have all the power in the world but like adam said being smooth is the key. Sean you should know that since you "used to race bikes". It is going to be all in fun and everyone is going to have a good time.

Re: Countdown!!

On the racing note.....if anyone wants assistance, the local SCCA region members have officially offered up themselves as instructors for anyone wanting a hand with autocrossing. I will also be available for ride-alongs if needed as I won't be actively racing.

So, if you want a hand or a second pair of eyes on your driving style....just ask.

It gets closer as you start driving South.....so just start driving.

We tried to keep cost as low as possible, but renting the autoX track, shirts, meal, trophies, etc....all added up.

I hear ya....it's all in fun. Harmon seems to have pretty thick skin and a great sense of humor and since he ribs me every so often, I feel obligated of sorts to return the favor. Glad he is already voicing some excuses (1st thread). Loop holes seem to ease the pain a bit.

The Lap 1 Ty has MUCH more besides a beefed up motor whose engine builder / tuner holds the NHRA record for a forced induction V6 powered dragster. You southern chicks will see soon enough. This Ty is wickedly fast, stops super fast and turns incredibly fast.....all it needs is a competent driver and I hope to locate him by next Friday (ha). I can talk big all day long but the countdown has begun and showtime is approaching. AutoX or no autoX, it would still be enough just to get together, meet everybody and have some fun.

. I agree 100% about being smooth but when you get from A-B faster and brake deeper before transitioning, it makes a big difference; that is IF one has the proper equipment to facilitate rapid acceleration and deceleration. As long as you're planted firm before diving into the apex and stay focused on the exit point after passing the apex while accelerating, it's all good. Ok, no more advice from me....bwaahaa. They just better have some Monster drink in their tanks.

Question 1) I have no idea....yet

Question 2) Engine was built by RaceKrafters (www.raceKrafters.com) and tuned by Rance Baxter of Rance FI Services (www.Rancefi.com). Running Excel Gen VII system and truck dyno'd at 568 WHP (25 psi). Equipped with ZR1 rotors and C5 calipers on all 4.

I haven't fiddled with it since I bought it except to add the A2A system to it. Will be fun to see what it'll do on a venue it was designed for.

Nothing to do with your costs - y9ou guys have done a great job. I just wish I got better than 8mpg! I reckon $500 for the weekend all in...

I might still make it but it's unlikely especially with the NASTE meet the following weekend. I'm definitely going to that.

I am sure there will be sources to get it. Hood will be able to answer that question a little better though being that he is from that area and knows what they carry at the track and race shops.
