So you're new to the SyTy world and have just joined SyTy.net...the #1 authority in the country on Syclone and Typhoons? Great! We welcome new members with great enthusiam and look forward to hearing what you have to say and answering questions you might have about these trucks. There are a few things you should know:
1. First posts: "Hi, I'm new" is an example of an empty post. We want to hear a few things:
a. Where are you from?
b. Do you have a Syclone or Typhoon? (and if so, please describe and include truck number; the last four digits of the VIN)
c. How did you get interested in SyTys?
d. If you don't have a Sy or Ty, what do you have? (we're car people FIRST, and SyTyers second)
e. Photos (of vehicles and girlfriends) are encouraged.
2. Community: Though thousands are signed up on Syty.net, only about a hundred or so are active. So because of the limited nature of these trucks you'll find a pretty tight community. We have our clowns, our hard-asses, our techies, our storytellers. The longer you stay, the more you'll get to know each. If you've come to learn about these trucks, you've come to the right place.
3. Scamming: For the most part, we watch each other's backs more than any car "club" you've been a part of. We don't have much tolerance for rip-off artists, scammers, or flippers for that matter. There aren't that many trucks and most are known by "someone" on this board.
4. Stupid questions: This board has been around for a while...any question that you can think of has probably been asked in the past year. The "search" key at the top of the screen can be your best friend. Some people (not me) have very low tolerance for basic questions. Don't take it personally...just move on to the search function and if you can't find it there, say so in your post. ("I searched the archives and could not find the answer to my question....")
4a. Don't be a Noobie Douchebag: Check your attititude at the door. When you dont search before asking or just flat out disrespect anyone on here, you are going to get people on here who going to give you a hard time, both in a joking manner and half serious. Put on your flak jacket or grow some thicker skin. As mentioned, this is a small community. Most of us know each other OUTSIDE of the forum and are long time friends, not just internet BFFs. Respect is earned.
5. Pricing: If you've had enough and want to sell your truck but have no idea where to start on price, write a full description and include photos and history. Trucks are all over the place in price right now (but mostly low) so every fact you can provide helps.
6.How to Post Pictures
Option 1: Become a donating member and you can "attach" pictures to posts.

Option 2: Use A Hosting Service Such As Photobucket
1. Go to Photobucket.com and register an account (or log into an existing account)
2. Upload the pictures to your account.
3. Once the picture is uploaded, there are 4 "way" that Photobucket allows you to share.
4. Find the link labeled as IMG and copy the entire link
5. Post the link in your thread and submit it.
