Spindle Seal?

I bought new hubs from Napa forgetting to also buy the seal that goes in the spindle, so I went down to Autozone and they said there is no seal that goes on the spindle with the new hub, is this true?

Re: Spindle Seal?

The only seal I remember changing when replacing my front hub was #48, it was toast. It's not part of the hub though. Don't recall any other seal, the hub is just one piece and ready to bolt on.

Re: Spindle Seal?

Yes, there is a seal in the inner hub. The lip rides on the half-shaft surface.

GM P/N 560680 Yes, only 6 digits. A parts store such as parts+ or NAPA should be able to cross that number for you.

NAPA lists that number as NOS 2196 and calls it a steering knuckle seal
