Torsion bar assembly removal

well lucky for me my truck was not a corroded mess and i got the torsion bars and cross member out, control arms out and cleaned up the shop afterwards in 3 hrs, taking my time. most difficult things were getting the ball joints to come undone, and breaking the bars free from the porkchops and lower control arms.

started out having no idea what i was doing and no special tools required, besides some larger than normal sockets. no grinding either, torsion bar cross member mounts weren't that bad either, and they were the OEM style with the long stud.

hitting up NAPA tomorrow for replacement moog mounts, clean up the stuff and put it all on the syclone sometime later in the week.

also gonna check P/A on some belltech lowering pork chops

EDIT: just for my reference

Re: Torsion bar assembly removal

so i know it's been discussed a few times in the past, but now that some time has gone by, what do other sytyers recommend for ball joints and control arm bushings?

i was thinking of doing moog ball joints and eenergy supsension bushings, does that sound alright? i checked into prices on stock replacements at NAPA and the guy told me that the NAPA brand top of the line (which were more expensive than the moogs apparently) were also better quality than the moogs, but i wouldn't believe a parts clerk over hard experience and evidence.

so, whatcha think?

power performance ball joints? dont know much about them but they sound tuff.
i personally like dana/spicer parts but theyre not always easy to find. ive been using only p-s-t bushings everywhere i can. places like shock eyes and sway bar end links ive had to use energy suspension
