where to find color by vin?

i have the chance to buy b blue truck, but it has been repainted and would like to know what kind of blue it was anyway. here is the vin

VIN doesn't contain color information, there's a RPO sticker in the glove box with that information.

yeah, i know. not close to the truck. just thought that maybe someone did a buildsheet thing etc.
or carfax would shot color or someone having acces to gm stuff knew how to find it.

If you can check out the truck,try lifting the carpet,the floors are the same as the body color,and chances are when they repainted,they didn't repaint that area to.

the firewall has been painted, he said is was somekind of weird blue, so i just want to know if it's a royal. if so i might want to buy it.

Based on the early build date,if it was blue originally,I'd lean towards Aspen. (Aspen was discontinued in Oct 91)

Going from memory,I'm pretty sure that the 93 test colors (Radar Blue,Raspberry Metallic,Ultra Silver,Bahama Blue ect) that were supposedly sprayed at PWA were done in early '92.(March?)(Somebody have a scan of that doc?)

So far only the Pink and Purple 92's have surfaced.These were the test colors sprayed at PWA for sure.

Anybody got the VIN's for the Raspberry and Radar 92's? (I know 93 2181 is Radar,but that's all I know aboot it.)
