what tools did your syty eat today?

I dont know how many times my ty has eaten my tools just the other day it ate a 1/4 extention w/a 10mm conected to it and that wasn't enough to fill it up so it ate a 8mm socket as well:rant: but it did puke up a small allen socket:tup:

the SoGT ate a 7mm 3/8 socket today taking off the cowl panel .... decided it needed to feed the rust in the cab panels under the hood hinge on the driver's side :roll:

I haven't lost any to my Typhoon, but I did drop a 3/8 ratchet below and behind the CAC last weekend. Luckily it fell in a way so it was propped up vertically. I once dropped a socket and adapter into the dash of my Jimmy while installing a stereo. That rolled around every time I made a turn for almost a year until it got stuck on the ashtray housing and I was able to pull it out.

I dont think I have lost any to the Syclone but I did leave from a small wrenchfest with a hand held tool box that had a shit load of snap-on tools in it luanched with the tail gate down and it flew out :lol:

My Typhoon has never eaten any of my tools, but it did reveal a big-ass "magnet-on-a-stick" inside the radiator support when I rebuilt the front end several years back. I still have that magnet in my garage somewhere.

not a syty but my old small block s10 ate a 10mm socket and it took 5 years and about 2k miles to finally find it when i pulled the nose off to pull the motor out.

the syclone has also eaten a couple 3inch 3/8 dr extensions and a 17mm socket

My Ty didn't exactly eat a tool...more like she ate a 4.3 liter LB4 engine!! LOL Oh, well...haven't been really dogging it since I bought it other than the occasional embarrassing of some 'tard driving a ricer with a fart can on it. It spun a bearing last weekend on I-16, so it's in the shop right now getting a rebuild done. I was planning on doing a rebuild come springtime, so this just advanced my timetable a bit. Sure as hell going through Ty withdrawals right now, though! LOL

My Sy ate a 3/8 driver bit last week. Dropped it where the battery use to be, air filter box now, and it disappeared. I looked for about 10 minutes, but never found it.

I haven't lost any tools is my Sy. I usually can find them with in a few minutes. The worse one I had was losing a small socket that bounced and end up in the CCHE frame, I probably spent an hour on that.

My C4 Corvette on the other hand I must have lost atleast a half dozen sockets. I had my rocker panel off in prep of a paint job and found 5 socket in that alone and 2 of them weren't even mine.

Always nice to find tools that don't belong to you but it sucks losing good tools & not being able to find them for some time. I guess when I pull my cab off I'll find my socket & IF not then I'll cut'er open since she's gettin' a new body :tup:

Not a tool but one of those little seals for the injector electrical connector. With the upper intake off it went all the way to the valve. I could see it but of course a magnet wouldn't work so had to stop everything and go get one of those dental tool sets (which I needed anyway) to fish the thing out.

0231 is a black hole for sockets and other small tools. Countless tools have been lost.

Mine Syclone never ate a tool, but the last time it came from the shop I found a small hand wrench sitting on the radiator. That is the last time my truck will go to a shop.

Not me, but my neighbor lost the 11/16" socket off his breaker bar he was using on the belt tensioner to remove the belt for some maintenance task. He couldn't find it, so he said jeff it, and closed the hood. He leaves for work at 2:00 AM. He was knocking on my door at 2:02 asking to borrow a car to get to work because he had a big coolant leak caused by a 11/16" socket getting thrown by the fan into the radiator core.

Bet he won't do that ever again...

my red one ate a 10 mm seep socket when i was tearin it apart found it a few weeks later when i took the cche off the front it was in the frame work for it
