Flipped needles...

I know all about the flipped oil pressure needle problem (in fact my Ty did that the other day but I have no bottom pin so it was good). The problem I have now is that the speedometer needle in my GT has flipped itself over to the 120mph peg and is just sitting there... is that a problem?

I haven't had the truck above 1600 rpm because I was afraid to hit the Typhoon with the rods it's going to throw :rotf: .... there will be video of that soon enough

My truck did that once (flipped speedo) and after some driving and a few restarts it flipped back over to where it should be.

the gforce from doing a hard right turn at an incredibley high speed should flip it back.

How about some right handed donuts? I think that's how I'm going to kill it :rotf:

sounds like a plan. truly the only honorable way to kill it (that is without a hefty shot of nitrous! my recommendation)

I don't think it will need any nitrous... if you look up the video in my thread about it you'll see why.

I got tired of taking the dash display apart to reset the needle, so took a small piece of plastic that resembles a needle stop and a dab of black rtv and stuck it just past the upper limit of the oil pressure limit reading. This way it can't flip again and it's barely noticeable.
