A couple weeks ago I went home one afternoon to tighten up my tranny pan bolts since it was leaking so bad. Afterwards, I went for a test drive to see if it worked. As I pulled on to the main road by my house I gunned it as I saw a butt load of cars coming my way. I notice immediately after I got on to the road that there was an older TA coming up FAST. Right away I thought it was a T T/A. He gets behind me and we turn right on to a big 3 lane road thats long with the next light about a mile away. I gunned it after I got straight and so did he. He walked me pretty good. At the light, I pull up next to him and he asks me if its the 4.3. I told him yeah and he told me his car was all stock. So he then asks me if Im going to the GW which is a weekend car hangout here and I told him sure. Even though I wasnt really going there I wanted to see what he had cause I knew there was no way that thing was stock. So we get there and he pops his hood. I look down and see atleast a PT52/6. I also look and see PTE injectors. He tells me theyre 50's. I say well hell that turbo is far from stock and he says yeah but the motor is. So we get to talking and he tells me about his STOCK GN that blows the doors off his car. Then I get to thinking, my friend Ryan has a GN and his dad has a T T/A thats white. So I say are you Ryans dad? He says yeah you know him? I say yeah I saw him a few weeks ago and he was showing me his PT66. Thats not stock man. He says again, yeah but the motor is. I didnt argue and just hung out for a frew then left. I cant belive this guy thinks Im so ignorant that I would believe a sotck motor means a stock car. And that he can justify a cheesy win with a turbo that big and claim its stock. He also told me he runs 13.6 at the track. HAHAHA!! I hope I see him there next summer. Seems he has some pretty good traction issues off the line.
