with an electric water pump you cant use the stock brackets because the pump doesnt have all the mounting points. there is on kind out there that sells an electric pump that has the holes but it is pretty pricey. if your a good fabricator you could make any electric pump work

getting your serpentine belt to work will require fabrication and a newer tensioner setup with an electric.

As Mike said. You have to modify your belt setup. You can run your front brackets. Also you may have to play around with your stat to get the temps correct. I had to drill small holes around the stat flange to allow some coolant to circulate to get the temp I wanted to be steady.
If interested. I have an Edebrock polished alunimum water I would sale. As less than 1,000 miles on it. Paid $280 plus tax. $150 plus shipping.

Well im not sure where i seen it but they do make an electric water pump that will fit our trucks and all 88-95 s-10 aqnd full size with this same drive setup and it keeps all the stock pulleys and belt, the water pump just has an idler pulley for the belt to go on. Ill see if i can find it again.

While not the cheapest option for going with an electric water pump, this one os a direct bolt on and will flow alot of water, so it should keep everything nice and cool.

Thanks guys for your input on this.I I wish i would of seen your post before i went down to Napa and bought a water pump.I just finished installing it also. Some i'm going to have to pass on this but thanks for offering it to me...

I have a csi pump that has worked great. I was also running all of the stock brackets with no modification for a while before eliminating the ac side bracket. I just had a much shorter belt that didnt go down around the water pump, it just ran around the alt, pw steering, then up around the ac eliminator pully, then under the tensioner and then up to the alt again...

I've thought about an electric waterpump.. but im stopped thinking about it because im sure they can't be all that great for daily driving right?

I drive mine a lot (probably more than it would normally be for whats done to it) and ive never had any major problem. as long as you use a good relay and have solid electrical connections you should be fine (i solder and heat shrink everything). I have a csi pump thats now at least 4-5 years old and its still working great. It started to leak once and for 20 bucks i got a seal kit from the company (csi changed their name i think) and installed that in about 15 minutes and ive never had any other leak issues... :2cents:

You can run the WP321 @ the bottom of the page:
