Can`t find TDC

I need help finding the Top Dead Center on my syclone #2816.
I have changed the whole rotor-axle and all the ignitionparts.
When I tried to find TDC-mark at the flywheel, I found at least 2 marks on the flywheel and I`m not sure how to set the flywheel.
Any help would be apreiciated.
Greetings from Norway with a stock Syclone with only 85000 mles on the meter. (by the way its for sale)

Re: Can`t find TDC

pull all spark plugs.. turn motor over by hand with finger on #1 cylinder spark plug hole. When air starts coming out take your piston stop and screw it in till it bottoms out.. Helps if you are within 30 degrees of TDC.. once you feel tension, mark the balancer and count the amount of times you unscrew the stop.. continue rotating the motor over past TDC.. screw piston stop back in the same amount of threads it came out with.. turn motor counter clockwise till it touches.. mark it, and the middle of your marks is TDC.

Re: Can`t find TDC

thanx for the reply. I dont have a piston stop tool, but I think I can fix one out of an old plug? when I use the "finger"-method i also believe I will be close enought to find the right mark?

Re: Can`t find TDC

the ghetto-version of the piston stop tool is a screwdriver. follow mikes advice, and instead of the piston stop tool, insert a screwdriver through the plughole. you should be able to feel the piston moving up, when it stops moving up you are at tdc (or at least close) and (taken your balancer hasn´t spun) you will see the right mark close to the timing-indikator.
