New 02 sensor, cap, wires, plugs, ign module and im pulling code 42 & 45.

It idles really rich slightly smokes and blows a oiled carbon muck out the tail pipe when I snap the throttle after it idles awhile. Runs real strong till after warm-up then out of no-where..... hard tach spikes..... starts sputtering..... then acts like it's flooding or loosing spark (which I can't recover from.) it will then stall and will istantly restart I'll blow out the pipe and it's fine for awhile.

Any suggestion would be helpful...........Thanks Sy 1859

Wow this is the exact same thing that is going on with my typhoon! Did you ever figured it out what the problem was? Has this happened to anyone else?

Wonder if it's something to do with a bad O2 sensor... sounds like it's changing during the closed loop/open loop cycle.

Re: running real rich at idle.

if it does it at startup on a cold engine the truck is in open loop and the o2 does not play a part in it. DO you have a scan tool?

It does it at startup and when the engine is warmed up already! I just started it up couple days ago because it's been sitting in the garage for the past 3 months and I wanted start driving it again! I do have the scan tools so my plan is to work on it this weekend.. I was just hoping someone had the solution for this???

Re: running real rich at idle.

Good news!! After changing out the ecm from the typhoon and installing the one from the syclone the problem is gone!! So the cuase of the problem was the ecm...

So if anyone has a spare ecm that they would like to sell please let me know.
