Ultimate chip?????Need advice

I just bought a GM Tech 2 for work,I was checking out my Ty because I been having WOT issues(cuts out @ WOT,over 4000rpm).I was checking the boost pressure reading from the ecm,9psi @ WOT and the Spearco boost gauge on the pillar is showing 15-16psi.I T-ed into the MAP sensor line for the boost gauge,so would expect them to read the same.I have a 3bar,so my IPC gauge is off,but why is the ecm reading lower than actual boost.Is this normal,I wouldn't expect it to be?If it's not,is it the chip or the MAP???

you shouldnt tie in to the line going to the map sensor for the boost line, it will cause inaccurate readings in the map. most ppl tie into the brake booster line as seen here:

it explains a little better here as to why you shouldnt T at the map sensor.

Ecm isn't having problems... the Tech 2 is. It's expecting a 2 bar sensor.

Ballpark math: 10 psi *3 /2 = 15 psi... just what your pillar gauge reads.

what chip do you have?
