Ok I done a search and read all I could. My symptom is similar to these link
I removed my distributor, and replaced it.Now when I time it its between the TWO timing marks.I noticed when I plug the tan wire in it didnt change. Is that right or maybe the module is bad??
Also, does it matter if its off a tooth or more ?Or can the base just be rotated to where you need to line it up with #1 post at TDC?
I got a piston stop and the balancer is fine but if I time it to 0 with the tan wire undone it dies. Then it wont start because seems to much compression and my starter started arcing because it wont crank. Also when its between the 2 marks if I retard it near the one line it knocks bad but if I advance it near the other the sound goes away and smooths out but I still get 18KR no matter where it is.
This is driving me nuts!!! Getting a ECM to try that and may try a pickup and module to??????????HELP!!!
