Well, Ive had the governor out, the servo, switched TV cables, and still no OD. Its wierd cause it just will not downshift either. The only strange thing I noticed when doing the VB was that the "TV Limit" vavle(line up), was a bit different from the VB I was holding in my hands. In the pic I had, it had a plunger at the end of the line up that the other VB didnt have. I tried to put this plunger in thinking it was supposed to be there but it didnt fit. Anyone have any thoughts?

if i doesn't look right, or doesn't fit right, it's not right:lol:

put the tv valve back to stock, or use one thats known to work.:D

Get a known good valvebody and take the shift accumulator spring and line bias spring from the Ty valvebody and put in it.

That TV limit valvelineup has a completely different bore and everything. None of the parts interchange.

Fix this and you'll be set. Your TV pressure is blowing off because of the mismatched valve or spring and end cap. One type valvebody has the orifice cast into the valvebody and the other requires the plug like in the pic your showing. The valves have a slightly different diameter on the lands and the valvebody up inside has the lands in a slightly different position.

Be careful or you'll burn up the clutches if you haven't already.

Do you have any laying around? If so how much? If it bothers ya to sell to me you could give to someone else and I could pay them then htey could give you the $ :lol: Im not really sure what they are worth but I need to do something. I have all the parts here, I have enough for two SYTY's, just dont know which ones are which? I guess those pics I found arent necassarily for the SYTY, this explains a few things. Hell, even a good pic of the line ups would be nice.

Got the VB back in tonight and it shifts to 4th nice and firm, dwonshifts and everything. All my shifts feel better than they have since I ahve owned the truck. Now on to that pesky leaky pan that leaks worse ow than it did with the chrome one.

Exactly what you said, I think it was primarily the 3/4 valve, had the smaller one and the sleeve was different. There was somethign else, a spring cant remember which one. I also transfered everything to my original VB that came with the truck and used the no stick TV valve. I think my TY had originally came with the DT sep plate and I used that as well. Basically tried to get everything I could think of back in there. George, Ild happily pay you for your time, advice and sevices. It would be well worth it to me since its all working as good as it is and like it should, I wouldnt have figured it out with out you. Not a gesture either, like I said, Ild happily pay you.
