I really liked the way syclones looked without the decals so i began to remove mine off the door cladding and the shape of the decal and its sticker glue are left behind. I tried 3m adhesive remover, wd-40, and laquer thinner. Nothing. I cant get it off? Has anyone tried this or know what works without hurting the cladding? Ive never seen glue this hard to remove before ever.

Use an eraser wheel but make sure that you don't stay in one spot too long and spin it slowly. Spin it too fast it will heat up almost instantly and burn the paint before you can say oh $h!t. Use it on a drill at low speed and not on compressed air. Be careful and they are the BEST thing since sliced bread, be careless and get into a hurry and you can cause alot of damage quick. I took an 01 Tahoe I had and had it debadge and they burned through the paint and refused to repair it. When I got my 05 1500 I did it all myself and had no problem. This is one thing you can not rush through. Then when you get done go ahead and wax the truck all over again.

You can try WD-40 or Goof Off. Put the stuff on a rag and work a small area at a time. Wash with warm water and soap.

they also make a product called sols all, I used it when I worked at a sign and decal place and it will take it off with little effort......but its not cheap.......

ok...well i tried everything but the sols all. Knocked it down w laquer thinner but its still there and not comming off  I dont get it. I let it soak for 10 minutes at a time and used a plastic sticker scraper. Im stumped and probably gonna have to put decals back on to cover it up?? is there any kind of light grit sandpaper or scotch brite that would work without hurting the plastic?? Has anyone else experienced this or am I just the lucky one?

decal / pinstripe eraser is what you need.

any body shop supply house will have them.
I use All Pro auto parts here and they carry all that shit.

Goo-Gone and a hair dryer is how i usually remove decals and don't have any problems.
Heat is your friend to help soften the glue base.

If it the outline of the decal what you have is wax buildup bonded with the adhesive.
In that case solvent or the decal eraser is about all that will cut it down.

Do not use rubbing compound or abrasives because the GM paint is so FN think you will go right through it.
Don't ask how I know. lol
