Porsche 996

So I am heading into work this morning and see this white 996 that parks at work also, so I know where he is heading also.

The road leading into work is 4 lane but VERY narrow. A bus can NOT fit in just 1 lane so it is sometimes interesting when 4 cars are going by at once.

I get up to the light, I am in the left lane, 996 in right. A few blocks ahead we both need to turn left, so I already know when light turns green what he is going to do. HMMMM

I am ready, light turns green I nail it, I can feel the front tires not sure if they are keeping grip with the cold asphalt. I can hear them chirping, as well as the Porsche giving it a go also. He finally gave up though after I had 4-5 cars on him and got behind me. I don't think he expected the Pontiac Bonneville to give him a run.

I think I need to go home and finish the ty so I can really show him who is boss.

so a bonneville kept up with a 996? i know the 996 isn't fast and all but since when can a bonneville get out of its own way?

You be surprised, Even Dobrick is looking in to getting a bonnieville, since they will run circles around his 4 cyl s-10.:tup:

O I am sure the 996 could have ran all over and back on the bonneville. The bonneville is just a DD that gets mid 20's MPG. Comfortable to drive, but otherwise I could care 2 shits about it. I think the oil is WAY overdue.

Actually thought about getting rid of it for a stock ty to DD, but we all know what that means I would be walking to work, and I am sure the 996 wont stop to help me now.

I think I know the guy that owns it, I will have to ask him about it and if he wants to race an s10 blazer.
