stock turbo rebuild

I'm sending the turbo out for a rebuild, I believe i've read the stock turbo is a 17g, and I can actually upgrade to a 20g using the same turbo housing. I'm also going to be installing an upgraded blow off valve with wastegate. I'm currently running an ATR pit-bull chip. Does this sound like something worth doing? If its compatible what other mods are recommanded? I have a walboro 255 with stock injectors. Like to keep things stock other than the parts mentioned if possible. Thanks

Stock is 17c, and yes a 20g can be fit into a stock housing.

I'm in the automotive busniess myself. I have a couple local vendors that take good care of me. :D I'm going to send the turbo out to turboonetics, they have been around for awhile and have done good work in the past. Considering I can upgrade the internals on the turbo well I need anyother supporting mods to make the car run Reliable strong? I'm going to have them put an upgrade blowoff valve with wastegate.

...are you confusing external and internal wastegates? Or are you just adding a bov with your
setup?

yes two different things. After talking with vendors a 20g turbo don't sound bad using my orginal. Some questions, if I get the 20g, its a direct bolt in turbo. I don't really have plans on getting a manuel boost controller. Well the 20g work out fine without any other mods? am i going to have to upgrade anything else? well the turbo work efficently with stock boost?

you dont want to use a 2og wheel. anybody who suggests it doesnt know much or just wants to sell you something,

You need to install a 57 MM compressor wheel,not a 20G wheel.
If you are going to do a rebuild,look to get a 20h turbine wheel (H) wheel),,assy & install a 57 MM compressor wheel.
