I drove my Syclone.

DAMN it feels great! :D

Now to put on some break in miles, put the good tranny in, build the rear, and go hurt some feelings

Congrats. I haven't driven mine in about two weeks and I'm starting to get the shakes. Can't imagine 3 years!

congrats!
That has gotta feel good.

I am going to charge the battery in mine here in a few.
Too much salt to take it out but I might back it out into the sun then pull it back in as a treat! ;)

I'm going to do the same. Put it on the charger tonight so it's ready to go tomorrow.

Congrats! 3 years isn't too bad; mine was last registered in 1998, but had been driven as recently as 2000 or 2001 (can't really recall that ancient history LOL). We need to get together with Big Al sometime and compare notes...we can probably learn a lot from each other. I'll have the drive line, fuel and suspension done by the end of the year...then its just a matter of dropping a bullet in the engine bay, but (as you guy's know) the engine is the easy part when you get to this level.

2002 for me, October area I believe. It has only recently been driven around neighborhood a few times so far and trailered to KC and pushed a few hundred feet by my closest friends.

In the next couple weeks I hope to see 100's of miles being put on.

Re: For the first time in three years...

Mine was apart two years. Its rough, especially when people talk sh** about them when you try to explain what you're building. Then when you beat them running less boost than stock it makes it all worthwhile.

The highlight for me was having it get backed into at work(I worked at a dealership and kept it there) by the plow truck one week before I finished it. They wouldnt pay for it(not even go half with me) so I quit after being employed there for 3 or 4 years

Good luck with it man. Dont do what I did and break it after a month then part it out

Thanks Rob :) Yeah, I agree, the three of us have a lot of info to share. I'm still working out the kinks (I've actually been trying to get the truck on the road all week. Went back on a flat bed twice ;) ) , but as soon as I'm confortable putting more than just commuting miles on it, I'm going to head to North Cuba to visit Al. We will have to get together.

You got about 2.5 months to get your shit straight before you bring it back here to make me some money! :)

Re: For the first time in three years...

*HIGH 5*!!! Its funny because when I meet someone off this site ... the first thing they want to do is hear me start it up HAHAHA (its stock).

I just got my first cam , and took a couple startup/engine test vids yesterday. I am about to have the engine rebuilt with mods, but it runs so well I am scared to mess with it!!!

HAVE FUN, just in time for summer!!! ---
