o rings for the oil lines??

Am i right in saying that there are o rings needed on the oil line connection from the cooler to the filter housing but no o rings needed on the other side between the connection form the filter to the motor?

should be o-rings on all the connections for the remote oil filter system. Obviouslt 2 per connection.

it depends. most of these trucks were built with the oring lines. some have the gasket type line. you have to see if your lines have the groove cut in the base of the block for the ring. if it doesnt then you have the gasket type fitting

Re: o rings for the oil lines??

I only had the grooves that fit the o rings perfectly in the side that go to the oil coller. On the other side there was no groove, it looks like it just sits together without o rings

the ones without grooves take the washer style gasket. with grooves uses the orings. do not mix the 2 as they will leak.

usually AutoZone or Advanced have them in the help section. Looks like 2 oil drain plug gaskets with a hole in the middle of them.
